All book covers are exclusive and will only be sold once on a first-come first-served basis. Where photography is being used, you might find the same subject elsewhere .
Of course, you are actually expected to! Add details such author’s name, title, and subtitle in your order. If you are not ready, you can communicate it after your purchase.
If you want minor changes in cover design and typography, contact before purchase. I will make three small changes for free before I send the file (different fonts, colors, rearranging design elements), afterwards additional 15$ charge will apply.
You will receive the personalized .jpeg file to you.
All covers are done at 6×9 inches (1800x2700px), 300DPI (size can be adjusted to your specifications).
The full wrap (front, back, and spine) can be purchased for an additional $80 and will be delivered in .jpg and PDF. I will need the specs of the book from KDP or the other service you are using.
Generative AI might be used to generate parts of the covers. AI use goes from minor interventions like filling missing areas with similar patterns, upscaling pictures or generating main subjects. If you explicitly want to avoid covers where AI has been used, contact me before ordering. KDP requires now to declare if you have used AI generated content for your cover, in case you are using one of my covers, I would suggest to answer:
– YES
– Images: One or a few AI-generated Images, with Extensive Editing
– Tools: Stable Diffusion
If you like the style of one of the covers, but want to eliminate AI from it, contact me. We could arrange a version with stock image.
No refunds will be given except at our discretion..
All covers are delivered by email. We aim to complete your order within 72 hours. If you haven’t received it after this time, please email mail5pencils[at]gmail.com and we’ll look into it. Be sure to check your spam folder first.
This is not part of the package. We can send it for additional fee.
If the cover you like is close to what you want but not quite, you can contact me at mail5pencils[at]gmail.com and I’ll let you know if I can do it, change it for free or charge a bit extra.
No problem, but you have to prove that you purchased a license for the image.
Both stock images and AI generated images are covered by commercial license. However there is no exclusivity. I won’t recycle AI images (with exception of textures and lighting overlays). Also, I am not using names of copyrighted authors when generating images.
When using stock images, the licence depends on the provider. A typical licence allows up to 500,000 copies, that should be more than enough for any self publisher. Of course if you are getting closed to that number, we can review the licence agreements with the provider.
